Our solution: NTT DVS 2024 system:
To meet all these stringent requirements and ensure our system is as compliant as possible, we have become platinum members of AVI (The Association of Vehicle Installers). Under their supervision, we have developed the new NTT DVS 2024 Progressive Safety System. Tested and endorsed by AVI, the only provider of DVS training and testing, this system has been hailed as one of the best kits ever made. It is fully compliant and ready for deployment.
The system includes several standout features that differentiate it from competitors:
AI Cameras (BSIS and MOIS): Identify pedestrians, cyclists, and other vulnerable road users. The camera data is relayed to the optical warning signal and provides information not only about the VRU but also about it malfunctions or obstructions.
Optical Warning Indicators: Send visual warning lights to the driver about VRU’s in the monitored zones, minimizing driver distraction.
Sound Warning Buzzer: Provides audible alerts to drivers in various modes.
Quiet Mode Switch: Deactivates the outdoor speaker for discreet operation at night.
Information Processing Unit: Facilitates seamless communication between devices. Connected to the CAN, it collects information about the vehicle's steering wheel angle, speed, gear selection, hand brake, accelerator, and brake pedals, minimizing reaction time to almost zero.

NTT DVS 2024 System Components
Components Installed Inside the Vehicle:
Optical Warning Indicators
The system includes optical warning indicators to inform the driver about the presence and location of the traffic control system within controlled areas. This component consists of two main elements:
- Main Information Display Screen: This screen is installed on the front panel of the vehicle, providing the driver with essential information about the system's status and alerts.
- Additional Right Blind Spot Indicator: Positioned on the right front glass pillar within the vehicle cabin, this indicator specifically alerts the driver to hazards in the right-side blind spot.
Sound Warning Buzzer
The sound warning buzzer serves as an auditory alert system, warning the driver of potential dangers or system notifications. This buzzer ensures that the driver remains aware of critical information, even if visual indicators are not immediately noticed.
Quiet Mode Switch
The quiet mode switch is a feature designed for nighttime operation. When activated, it turns off the outdoor speaker, preventing noise disturbances in residential areas while still maintaining vehicle safety.
Information Processing Unit
The heart of the NTT DVS 2024, the information processing unit, is responsible for processing input signals received from the AI cameras and the CAN bus line. This unit facilitates seamless communication between devices and collects vital information about the vehicle's steering wheel angle, speed, gear selection, hand brake, accelerator, and brake pedals. By processing this data, the unit minimizes reaction time to almost zero, issuing output signals to the optical and audio warning devices to ensure the driver is continuously informed about the system's operation and any detected hazards.
Monitor
Inside the vehicle cabin, a monitor displays the visual representation of the information captured by the BSIS AI camera. This monitor ensures that the driver has clear, real-time visual feedback on the vehicle’s surroundings, enhancing situational awareness and safety.
Components Installed Outside the Vehicle:
AI Cameras (Front and Side Blind Spot Cameras)
The NTT DVS 2024 is equipped with advanced AI cameras strategically positioned to cover the front and side blind spots of the vehicle. These smart cameras possess sophisticated capabilities to recognize pedestrians, cyclists, and other vulnerable road users (VRUs), enhancing overall safety by providing real-time alerts and reducing the likelihood of accidents involving these road users.
Outdoor Loudspeaker
An outdoor loudspeaker is installed on the exterior of the truck. This component provides sound warnings, particularly when the vehicle is maneuvering to the right, supplemented by a white noise signal to ensure the warnings are distinct and noticeable.
