The device PC32 is developed for auxillary and backup supply for various units which works from 12V.
The principle is a commutation of different supply units according to specific algorithm with output of continuous supply +12 V to output as well as recharging extra battery 12 V 7 A.
3 inputs:
- on-board truck battery input - +24V and GND
- semitrailer battery input - +12 V and GND
- extra battery input - АК and GND
1 output:
- 12V DC for supply , eg. Alarm, GSM units or combination locks of semitrailers doors, etc.
Algorithm:
Input sources have different priorities.
+24V and GND has highest priority; if voltage drops less than 16 V, the device PC-32 switches this source off and connects source with lower priority. If voltage rises to 16.8 V, this input becomes highest priority again.
Attention!!! Recharging extra battery from +24V and GND, when it is in high priority. Voltages and currents are controlled by microprocessor to ensure maximum capacity and battery life time.
+12V and GND has second priority; if voltage drops less than 11 V, the device PC-32 switches this source off and connects source with lower priority. If voltage rises to 12 V, this input becomes priority again.
АК and GND has lowest priority; ; if voltage drops less than 10 V the device PC-32 switches this source off and connects source with lower priority. If voltage rises to 11 V this input becomes priority again.
When source with higher priority is available, supply is done from this source.
The device PC-32 provides:
- Protection of input supplies from overvoltage and polarity reversal.
- Protection from vibration.
- Protection of input voltage supply overvoltage and short circuit.
Samples of use:
PC32 receives supply from truck +24 V and then charges extra battery and applies voltage to GSM unit or alarm.
When trailer disconnected from truck, PC32 applies voltage from freezer battery + 12V to GSM unit or alarm. Extra battery is not charged this time.
When voltage of freezer drops below 11 V, PC32 switches it off and applies voltage to GSM or alarm from extra battery.
When voltage of battery drops below 10 V, PC32 switches battery, and GSM unit and alarm will use own batteries (if any).
- Trailer with usual or platform truck
PC32 receives supply from truck +24 V, charges extrabattery and applies voltage to GSM unit or alarm.
When trailer disconnected from truck, PC32 applies voltage from extra battery to GSM unit or alarm.
When voltage of batter drops below 10 V, PC32 switches battery, and GSM unit and alarm will use own batteries (if any).
